Achieving healthy skin starts with a nutritious diet. Drinking a lot of water, and eating green leafy vegetables. filled with minerals, fiber, and vitamins, which are low in calories.

Lipids are the heavy hitters within vegetables, nuts, and seeds that protect our skin with natural oils and waxes.

“Lipids are essential fatty acids incorporated into the cell membranes and regenerate the damaged lipid barrier of the epidermis and restrict water loss, 'helping keep your skin smooth and flexible’.

“The unsaturated fatty acids show prominent healing effects on skin inflammation and are used in various cosmetic products. (Essential oils ) bees and emulsion waxes are also used in several products due to their property of skin tolerance, protection, cleansing, and viscosity. As a cosmetic formulation, the Nano formulations are effective against irritated and inflamed skin and effective for the therapy of (atopic dermatitis and psoriasis.)” ~

Do You Know Your Skin Type?
Skin Types.

Normal Skin:
‘Normal’ is a term widely used to refer to well-balanced skin. The scientific term for healthy skin is endemic.”

Dry Skin:
"Dry’ is used to describe a skin type that produces less sebum than normal skin. As a result of the lack of sebum, dry skin lacks the lipids that it needs to retain moisture and build a protective shield against external influences. Dry skin can feel tight and rough and look dull.”

Oily Skin:
"Oily’ is used to describe a skin type with heightened sebum production. This overproduction is known as seborrhea. Oily skin has a glossy shine and visible pores.”

Combination Skin:
"Combination skin is, as the name suggests, skin that consists of a mix of skin types. Skin types vary between the T-zone and the cheeks on combination skin.” ~

*The best way to obtain balanced skin is to use a cleanser and toner compatible with your skin type. Cleansers are formulated to remove impurities from the skin. The daily accumulation of dirt, sweat, and oil, as well as make-up not removed, will wreak havoc on your skin. The cleanser should be mild and compatible with your skin type so that it does not irritate your skin. Never - ever use hot water on your face. I use lukewarm water and Manuka honey to cleanse, and cold water to rinse. This closes my pores (For dry skin, use an oil-based cleanser). Honey is a humectant, anti-bacterial, and locks in moisture.

Tone, for double protection. Take a cotton ball or pad and gently press the toner onto your skin this also helps close your pores. I use lavender witch hazel. It leaves my skin refreshed and the lavender not only smells good, but it also relaxes my mind. Then without fail moisturize, moisturize, moisturize. ~ SWFY.
